Sunsets in Santorini, Greece

The sunsets here were mesmerizing. Watching the pinks and purples and oranges light up the white and blue buildings while staring down at the ocean below really took my breath away. Almost indescribable. Now I understand why they are world famous.

I’m not going to write too much about Greece because I think the pictures say it all. It has been absolutely wonderful – the people have been some of the most welcoming we’ve ever met, the food was fantastic and some of the best so far on our travels, and the scenery was spectacular.

Greek ferries are fancy! Maybe we could get some lounges like this on BC ferries. We took the boat from Paros (where we dropped off the sailboat) to Santorini. A pleasant 4 hour journey!

  1. Now I've always wondered, if Greek salad taste the same in Greek? or do we have a Canadianized version here at home.

    1. Greek salad is pretty much the same, although there was no lemon juice (only olive oil drizzled on and lots of it), only green peppers (never red but you'd like these green ones), massive amounts of cheese (and it tasted creamier and more like goat feta) and sometimes capers. :) So our version is slightly Canadianized.
